The topic of Stem cell research has lead up to an intense debate about ethics. Only until recent years, the method of research mainly focused on Embryonic Stem cells, which involved taking the tissue of an aborted embryo to obtain proper study material. If Stem cells are harvested from aborted embryos, that is destroying the potential of a human life. When they are being destroyed it is destroying the potential of life because it has the ability to grow. Who decides who gets to live and who gets to die; some can say that is similar to playing god. So that brings me to my question: is the destruction of fetuses in order to harvest Stem cells truly ethical, but not only the destruction of fetuses, Stem cell research overall, is it truly ethical?
